Grassroots of Tarboro

Terry Smith, from the Daily Southerner, stopped by yesterday to chat about my ideas for Second Saturdays and I think our talk was the impetus I needed to get the show on the road.

Our first meeting will be held, next Thursday morning at 8:30am in the back room of On The Square restaurant.  I'll get busy posting and printing and telling people.  If the time and place is not convenient PLEASE help me to find another time and place to accomodate all people interested in participating.

This event will be BY the people and FOR the people and should be a step towards positive change and perhaps growth in Tarboro.

I'll be putting together an informational website to help coordinate efforts and keep communication open.  I can visualize this event becoming an asset to the community in many many ways, and look forward to working with all of you.
