Positive change - I feel it in the air.

I'm very excited about something that happened yesterday.  It wasn't earth shaking, but it was significant.  Not once, but TWICE, someone came into The Unusual Shoppe looking for space or information about space so that they could move their antiques business to downtown.  I love it!   My vision for Tarboro includes a healthy vibrant downtown that attracts visitors from hours away.   I've been sending out a nearly constant stream of energy with this vision in mind and I can feel it coming back to me now.  How cool is that?

We opened our doors September 1st. The same weekend, Tar River Antiques opened their doors.  September 18th, The Grey Fox Antiques & Collectibles opened THEIR doors.  Above and Beyond has been here for years but now there are FOUR antique shops in downtown Tarboro.   Folks may not drive from Raleigh or Richmond for one antique shop, but how about FOUR or FIVE or SIX antique shops, quality clothing and gifts shops plus  our world class restaurant , On The Square , several other eateries, an English- style pub, a gorgeous bed and breakfast and loads of historic charm!

The downtown businesses are already joining forces to share in advertising expenses in the larger city papers.  Good things are taking shape. A new energy is flowing in downtown Tarboro.  Can't you feel it in the air?  I can and I love it!
