Grassroots of Tarboro

What makes a school "good"? What makes a school "excellent"? We need to examine the answers to these seemingly simple questions. Knowing and truly understanding what makes a school "excellent" is the first step toward building schools of excellence here in Edgecombe County.

I think that the main thing for schools is to get better community involvement & to get the parents involved. The teachers need to be worrying about teaching, not dress codes, conduct, etc. Uniforms might work and a strong enforcement of the rules. Where's crazy Joe from NJ (see the movie Lean on Me) when ya need him?
