A lot of people have expressed an interest in a whole foods / organic Foods Buyng Club or Cooperative. This is where you can share your thoughts on the subject or follow the discussion as the project progresses.

I think a whole/organic food buying club is very doable here in Tarboro.
United Buying Clubs
seems like it would make a great supplier. I'd love to hear if anyone else has any suggestions or just if you'd be interested in purchasing wholesale products (natural foods, cleaners, personal care products, dietary supplements, vegetarian products, etc.) through a cooperative group.

I'm not into the Food Buying Co-Op concept, but what about a community garden for people to grow their own stuff? Like Embarq's employee garden.

The Quigless Center is starting a Community Garden, and welcomes everyone interested in growing veggies!
Their first meeting is April 24th, 7:00pm at the Quigless Center.

I'd love to see a buying club for organic produce, meats, eggs, and dairy. There aren't many organic farms in this part of the state though. I wish we had the resources out here that are available in the central and western parts of the state.

I am interested in a Tarboro Food Co-op. I don't have a lot of time to contribute but would help anyway I can.

Thanks Kevin,
The list of those who are interested is growing and we hope to create a plan of action soon.
In the mean time, I'm wondering if it is possible to get some renewed interest in our Farmer's Market on Trade Street.
